Our successful Kickstarter campaign

Launching on Kickstarter

Back in March we launched Berg Watches on Kickstarter. Launching on Kickstarter takes a lot of planning and you need to have a strategy ready for how to execute along the campaign. Many campaign fail because they just put their products out there before building an interest around their product and hope it will generate sales. We don't believe that is possible anymore, as there are over 5000 projects on Kickstarter at the moment, and you need to pretty much kickstart your Kickstarter for it to be successful.


Planning The Process

It was back in September of 2016 that we decided that Kickstarter would be the plattform where we would raise the funds to be able to launch Berg for the entire world to see.

That is actually when our founder Paal started working on how he would be able to be launching a successful Kickstarter campaign.

The Launch

On March 12th Berg launched on Kickstarter with a bang. We had set our goal to be 150 000 NOK and personally though we would be able to reach that goal in just 2 hours. We were told to not have such high expectations, however we were pretty confident that we had put in the work. So 38 minutes into the campaign, Berg reached the goal of 150 000 NOK. It was an amazing feeling. So much effort, hard work and time had finally paid off. By midnight the campaign had over 250 000 NOK in backing. It was crazy. However that only meant one thing, it was time to get the word out to the rest of the world.

After 30 days on Kickstarter we ended up raising 880 000 NOK ($110 000), which was enough to start our mass-production. And the rest is history.
