About a decade ago I was on a trans Atlantic flight when I saw an advertisement for Berg watches in the in-flight magazine. Despite carrying a cell phone I prefer an analog watch with the date. The design was appealing, simple yet classic. I ended up ordering two watches - one in gold the other in silver. I have worn these watches casually and formally. One of the best features being their interchangeable bands that allow you to easily change the watche's appearance. The only issue I have ever had was while replacing the battery a small metalic piece broke and the watch never worked again. I did contact Berg about repairs, but it appears that is not a service they offer. I recently replaced that watch with another Berg. Overall I love my Berg as much as my other designer watches. It shows no signs of wear on the finish or face and continues to be accurate with the date and time.

Also, after numerous visits to Norway, this year was the first I got to visit Bergen properly., so has that extra meaning.
